Big Messages From Little Words

  1. FORGOTTEN LANGUAGE: We think it's about growing up because it says, "there was a time" We think he's talking about when he was a kid. But as he gets older he says, "Where did it go? How did it go?" We liked it because it reminds us of how we got to be where we are now and how we grew up.

PETALS: We think this poem is about showing people the real you because she was always hiding what's on the inside and she was always too afraid to show people the real her. We liked it for the most part but a lot of it was very deep and hard to understand.

74TH STREET: We think the theme is to always persevere because she kept falling and she still got back up even when she failed. We liked it because we've all had these experiences and so we all know what she's going through.

  4. Jackson and Ethan,
The first poem was about a girl who got roller skates. WE think the author said never give up.
The second poem was about speaking different languages. We need to care for nature.
The poem was about mothers day. Always respect your mother.

What we liked about poem 1 was that it showed a lot of exaggeration. About poem 2 it sounded like a dream. Poem 3 described a lot about the flowers and the mother.
